Eastmont Community Church is a gathering of multigenerational people who have a desire to center themselves on the cross of Jesus, to focus on the Bible and to join together in community. We gather together on Sunday mornings and we’d love for you to join us!

Interim Pastor Ron Wise

     Raised in Wenatchee, Ron remained in the area for several years. He and his wife, Theresa, still have friends and family here. Ron is an ordained elder in the Pacific Northwest Conference of the Free Methodist Church. He began ministry as an associate pastor at the Omak Free Methodist church in 1986. Then in 1996 Ron accepted the Lead Pastor position at the Tonasket Free Methodist Church. He retired after nearly twenty years at TFMC. In 2021 Ron returned to the Tonasket Free Methodist church as Interim for another two years. While retired, Ron enjoyed helping other churches in Okanogan County with pulpit supply and often taught adult bible classes at his own church. Ron’s life verse is I Corinthians 2:2 “For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.”

In their spare time, Ron and Theresa enjoy the outdoors, and getting together with friends and family. They have three daughters and one son, seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Lead Pastor Position Opening

The Eastmont Community Church (a Free Methodist church) is located in East Wenatchee, Washington, and is seeking a full-time lead pastor.

     Approximately 75 people attend on Sunday mornings at 9:30 for worship and to be challenged and taught by the Scripture.  The membership consists of full-time residents from the local area who are committed to continuing to serve God in the community. The church is Christ-centered, Spirit-filled, and Biblically based with a mission to Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples.

     The church is financially stable and debt-free. It is centrally located with comfortable facilities on enough acreage with room for expansion. Several apartment buildings are nearby.

     The Columbia River separates East Wenatchee and Wenatchee but shares some public services, such as fire protection.  They contain school districts of similar enrollments.  Several youth leagues are available for elementary-age students and high school students.  The larger community supports Wenatchee Valley Community College, a professional community, and music and fine arts. An exceptionally large medical community has about 200 physicians, two large clinics, and a hospital.  The major workforce is in agriculture, largely apples and other fruits, supported by an agriculture science research center. Dams on the Columbia River are the source of very reasonably priced hydroelectric power. Thus, Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, and others have established server centers here in East Wenatchee. East Wenatchee is also a growing area where Costco and several major businesses are established.  North Central Washington, which includes the towns of East Wenatchee, Wenatchee,
Cashmere, Chelan, Leavenworth and Quincy, boasts of unequaled outdoor recreation in summer and winter.  Summer water sports on Lake Chelan, Lake Wenatchee, and the Columbia River are always inviting.   River rafting and mountain hiking/biking are available.  Winter activities include skiing and snowboarding on Mission Ridge.  Fishing and hunting are within an hour’s drive of East Wenatchee.  There is something for everyone.
